Gundam AGE ep45: the one-eyed dragon.
This was pretty straightforward episode. I’m pretty sure there were at least ten minutes of lasers firing, recycled animation and close ups of Zeheart’s pretty, but unfortunately helmeted face. I’m sure they saved a fortune on this episode. But that doesn’t mean that I still wasn’t entertained. It was a welcome change of pace from the Asuno family conflicts, Ezelcant’s babble of perfect humans and an Earthly Eden, and the usual crap about bits, funnels and the sort. Check-in Station: Gundam AGE ep28 (a NOT kinder, gentler Federation)
So I’ve finally finished the second AGE of Gundam AGE, and now I won’t be AGES behind everyone else watching this series…. OK, that was terrible. Let’s get on with this.
Anyone who says burning passion is for youth has never met Flit Asuno. The man is the definition of “squared away” and driven. I believe that this second AGE was as much a set up for him as the man who decides the Vagan nation’s ultimate fate, as it was about Asemu’s coming-of-age. Read more…
Check-in Station: Gundam AGE ep18 (Veigan hamburgers flavored with Regret.)
Looks like playtime is over. I mean that literally. I suppose that could be said once anyone takes up a blade, gun or whatever weapon they may have. But this little arc has effectively shaken all of the main characters lives up in a irreversible way. It seems like the creative team doesn’t want to play around at all. There will be no mystery as to who is facing who or why. The pilots already know each other quite well, and the maiden is already quite heartbroken. This is Gundam AGE, and it’s a show that keeps on schedule. Read more…
