Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #6 (would you rather do it secretly in public, or loudly in private?)
The series is not dead. Pervy manga and anime are still being covered. And I have new series on tap. Man is it weird.
Here are the series I’ll be covering:
- Seishokuki ch1
- Nana to Kaoru ch71 & 72
- My Lovely Ghost Kana ch20
- Yuria 100 Shiki ch59
- Happy Negative Marriage ch7 & 8
- Liar’s Paradox ch5 & 6
- Hana to Hoshi ch3
- Cutie Lips ch2
- Recently, My Sister is Unusual ep4
Check-in Station: Triage X ep1 (boob nurses, boob ninjas, boob mercenaries, boob gropers – boobs!)
Oh man. It’s been quite a while since I’ve watched a boob anime. It will take some adjustment and time. For now, I just keep looking at this show and asking why over and over again. But I’m guessing this show isn’t about actually thinking. It’s about feeling. Feeling feelings, and emotions, and heart stuff, but mostly this show is about feeling and watching the boobs.
Oh man.
This most certainly feels like a near throwback series, with some prevalent 70s era anime influences. This show is violent, flashy, stylish to a ridiculous level, and it sells sex hard! I can’t say much about the characters or plot so far. The characters are mostly chicks with boobs and hints of a personality – or pieces of one, and the main guy is the usual revenge driven, trauma molded youth. And he’s definitely got mental issues, believing the best friend who died is still alive in the body parts that were transplanted onto him to save his life. Most every other character in this show has been a scumbag criminal or pitiful victim. It’s not one of the more appealing anime worlds for one to wish to live.
And the plot? Bad guys are bad. And really bad ones get murdered really hard. It’s the story about a team of super professional (and super non-professional) assassins. It reminds me of Akame ga Kill quite a bit in that regard. Though so far, Akame ga Kill’s group of weirdos were a tad more appealing to watch.
I hate to say this, but I’m not feeling this show at all. Don’t get me wrong! I love boobs! And ecchi fanservice is often very tolerable to me. But this show is just bad and feels very derivative beneath its fancy wrapping of style and sex. It doesn’t have nearly the charm for me to put up with the ridiculousness. When I watched Highschool of the Dead, I soon figured out that I was watching a classic among bad anime. It had its own entertainment value just from sheer gall and guile that it had in its storytelling. This show so far lacks the intangible things that make a bad show entertaining. It only makes me laugh at how ridiculous it is, but it takes itself too seriously to really run with it. Ugh. I’m just plainly not entertained by this show, just miffed and baffled by its various aspects. I won’t be keeping up with Triage X.
Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #5 (just wear pants, you bloody idiots!)
I didn’t think I’d go well into Fall before I got back around to this material. Just goes to show times are hard and life is rough. If a man can’t find time out of his day for a little pervy manga and anime, then he’s forced to live a very shallow, base life – devoid of true happiness or fulfillment. Thankfully, I made some time to relax and wade through some truly thoughtless and silly material. I’ve changed things up a bit again. Starting with something very light and silly, and then going into some truly sketchy material. And as always, even the silliest shows can pull some nice thoughtful moments. As My Lovely Ghost Kana and Recently, My Sister is Unusual both manage to give me some moments that made me think.
Here are the entries I’ll be covering this week in order:
- Chrysanthemum Garden ch0
- Cutie Lips ch1
- Nana to Kaoru ch70
- Hana to Hoshi ch2
- Yuria 100 Shiki ch58
- My Lovely Ghost Kana ch19
- Happy Negative Marriage ch6
- Liar’s Paradox ch4
- Recently, My Sister is Unusual ep3
Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #4 (It’s not gay – it’s penis)
It’s time for my fourth blog post exclusively dedicated to the manga and anime too risque to go anywhere else. The red light district of the Check-in Station if you will. This time I get to enjoy the beginnings of a new breather in Nana to Kaoru, though I could do without a certain furry interloper. I try out a new yuri manga with one very stoic character and one giant moron… so you know, the standard manga relationship that I’ve seen forever. Yuria Hyaku Shiki tries things out “both ways”. We get to see a lot of adults in relationships do a fair amount of lying to each other. And I slowly learn that the need to go to the bathroom is a growing and disturbing fetish in Japan.
Here are the entries I’ll be covering this week in order:
- Nana to Kaoru ch68 & 69
- Hana to Hoshi ch1
- Yuria 100 Shiki ch57
- My Lovely Ghost Kana ch18
- Happy Negative Marriage ch5
- Liar’s Paradox ch3
- Recently, My Sister is Unusual ep2
Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #3 (Love means knowing that sometimes you have to pull out)
Issue #3! Alright, let’s do this! I gotta say before I start though, some of these pervy series are showing way more heart than I was expecting when I first started reading them. I guess even while trying to give you a rise, these stories can still teach a lesson.

- Nana to Kaoru ch66 & 67
- Yuria 100 Shiki ch56
- My Lovely Ghost Kana ch17
- Happy Negative Marriage ch4
- Liar’s Paradox ch2
Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #2
This took longer than I had planned, hell it’s been three months since I last did an update on the pervy manga I’ve been reading. This post is one of the first steps I’m taking in reviving my blog after the hell that was winter and March. Hope you guys enjoy this attempt to bring pervy manga back to forefront of my blog. And if you know of any quality pervy manga, feel free to leave a comment making me aware of it. Read more…
Check-in Station Dark Edition: Issue #1
Due to the heat at my house failing at the worst possible time ever, I’m sorry to say that I was horribly delayed in my ability to watch new anime and read current manga. I had to evacuate the fam as quick as possible to a relative’s place before we all turned into little ethnic popsicles. In consolation, here’s something I’m working on to bring the pervier titles back to the forefront of my blog. Think of this as the dark side of my AniFriday posts. And I hope you enjoy this, because I would really like to keep blogging about pervy manga and anime.
Here are the manga I’ll be covering in order:
- Nana to Kaoru ch63
- Yuria 100 Shiki ch54
- Happy Negative Marriage ch1
- My Lovely Ghost Kana ch14
- Octave ch8
- Girl Friends ch26 Read more…
Check-out Station: Wanna Be The Strongest in the World
If there is a higher being watching over me, then I ask them not to let me watch something this crappy again. It feels like my guardian angel is a heavy drinker and tonight was $1 pitcher night at the pub. I am forsaken. This show is forsaken. And anyone who planned and produced this series needs divine punishment. Read more…
KILL LA KILL ep12: your father was a dirtbag ninja, your rival is a dirtbag samurai, your nemesis is a dirtbag lolita, and your friend comes from a dirtbag family
How do I even encompass in words the groundswell of emotion that I was feeling watching this episode? It was equal parts hype and exposition, a battle of ideals and monsters. And even with all that was revealed, the most enticing part is what this episode foretells for the future. Read more…
KILL LA KILL ep11: oh no! It’s a loli!
Ryuuko’s fight with Nonon continues in this episode, and here we see that she seems to truly be mastering Senketsu’s use. She defeats Nonon not once, but twice, and using the same technique more or less. The first part of the fight was resolved when she was able to use Senketsu’s Gale form to outmaneuver Nonon, and send one of her recorder missiles back at her. With Nonon grounded, everyone assumed the little tart wouldn’t be able to continue, but instead the Read more…
