Give Commander Pixis credit, the drunkard is no fool. Though every episode I see him drink from that flask I get thirsty. Every episode he’s in I still see him make sound judgments. Though right now, this man may have made the biggest mistake of his life. And no amount of poison is going to wash that away.

Attack on Titan ep10: a reliance on cooler heads, not bigger balls

Is there even need for a synopsis this week?  This episode could’ve taken place in your backyard.  I’m not exactly complaining mind you.  Things still managed to be as riveting and intense as I’ve come to expect.  I just felt like this was a tad drawn out.

Attack on Titan ep9: I bet you wish you were dreaming

It’s just amazing to me how popular a show like this has become. Despite how dark and gory this show can be, it’s still captured a wide audience.  And now I’m along for the ride too, the aspect of this show where I knew what was going to happen next is over. It’s time I started living this show.

Attack on Titan ep8: it’s been a gas, but we gotta go!

Well I hope no one spoiled the big reveal for this episode. I’ve done my best not to give any hints. And post this post, I’ll be just as ignorant as anybody else just starting this series. So let’s talk about what made me love this series so much as a manga.

Attack on Titan ep7: humanity has a big brother, and he would like to speak to you.

I think it’s about time that everybody in this show stopped sniveling and whining. If mankind was meant to go out like this, I don’t think they deserved to live in the first place.  At some point, the humans have to stand up and at least snap back, let their animal instincts take control and bite once cornered.  Though at the start, all I could see were people working on each other’s eulogies and wills.  People telling themselves that they’ve had a good life, when they’re kidding themselves. They’ve had a sh*tty life, and it’s gonna end in a sh*tty way.  At some point, people unfamiliar with the source material have to wonder why they’re even sticking around for this gory sob fest…

Attack on Titan ep6: am I the only one that thinks the “abnormal” titans are just “full retard” titans?

Boy they’re really stretching out the manga’s material aren’t they? Then again, I can’t blame this show for milking a self contained story like the one for how Mikasa came to know Eren. The only thing I’m confused about is how Eren ended up so messed up and violent when he has had two gentle parents, and the bad stuff appears to have happened to Mikasa?

Attack on Titan ep5: ten thousand terrified men

I can’t imagine what it’s like to dive into certain doom.  I suppose the trick is to trick yourself into believing that you know you’ll come out safe, or to only think about a task at hand, and not the terror of failure.  After all, the terror they say is what kills you.  But I don’t know how I’d feel if I saw hundreds of grown men, even veterans quaking in fear.  Even as they give you orders, you can see them forcing back the terror.  You stand in line and here wimping, and whispers of the doom you’re supposedly walking into.  Even the people in front of you, you can’t see their faces, but you know there’s terror on them because you see their bodies shaking.  You hear the men in the ranks vomiting on their boots.  Yeah, the titans aren’t hear yet, but the terror is.
