Check-in Station: Triage X ep1 (boob nurses, boob ninjas, boob mercenaries, boob gropers – boobs!)

Oh man.  It’s been quite a while since I’ve watched a boob anime.  It will take some adjustment and time.  For now, I just keep looking at this show and asking why over and over again.  But I’m guessing this show isn’t about actually thinking.  It’s about feeling.  Feeling feelings, and emotions, and heart stuff, but mostly this show is about feeling and watching the boobs.

Oh man.

This most certainly feels like a near throwback series, with some prevalent 70s era anime influences.  This show is violent, flashy, stylish to a ridiculous level, and it sells sex hard!  I can’t say much about the characters or plot so far.  The characters are mostly chicks with boobs and hints of a personality – or pieces of one, and the main guy is the usual revenge driven, trauma molded youth.  And he’s definitely got mental issues, believing the best friend who died is still alive in the body parts that were transplanted onto him to save his life.  Most every other character in this show has been a scumbag criminal or pitiful victim.  It’s not one of the more appealing anime worlds for one to wish to live.

And the plot?  Bad guys are bad.  And really bad ones get murdered really hard.  It’s the story about a team of super professional (and super non-professional) assassins.  It reminds me of Akame ga Kill quite a bit in that regard.  Though so far, Akame ga Kill’s group of weirdos were a tad more appealing to watch.

I hate to say this, but I’m not feeling this show at all.  Don’t get me wrong!  I love boobs!   And ecchi fanservice is often very tolerable to me.  But this show is just bad and feels very derivative beneath its fancy wrapping of style and sex.  It doesn’t have nearly the charm for me to put up with the ridiculousness.  When I watched Highschool of the Dead, I soon figured out that I was watching a classic among bad anime.  It had its own entertainment value just from sheer gall and guile that it had in its storytelling.  This show so far lacks the intangible things that make a bad show entertaining.  It only makes me laugh at how ridiculous it is, but it takes itself too seriously to really run with it.  Ugh.  I’m just plainly not entertained by this show, just miffed and baffled by its various aspects.  I won’t be keeping up with Triage X.

Wanna Be the Strongest ep4: how to get rid of crabs

Have we finally passed this barrier, crossed this hurdle, ascended to another plane? How we finally defeated the Boston Crab?! Oh sweet merciful Jehovah! The series can move onward! Someone give me a cigar and whiskey, the pain may just be over!

KILL LA KILL ep4: sometimes I just want to watch a good cartoon.

It doesn’t have to make sense. It doesn’t have to have a point. And no message is necessarily required. When do these rules apply? When all a show sets out to do is entertain me and make me laugh.

KILL LA KILL ep3: is proof that you’re doing it wrong!

Through just three episodes, I’ve found myself utterly satisfied with this show in just about every aspect. Everything is literal and on display; the blood, the guts and the pride are all there on tremendous display. and now even the most embarrassing aspect of the show has been held up in glorious display to the world as an actual aspiration to all. Is there any defeating this show?!

Wanna Be The Strongest ep2: a sweet pickle!

Aniblogging gods, please forgive me! It seems that I must make a decision. And that decision is to episodically blog Wanna Be The Strongest. It was not a decision I came to lightly, but apparently what this show provides, the internet somehow needs more of. And that thing is – boobies. Boobies, butts and crotch shots. I do this not for myself, but for all who come after me… and for my page views.

So here we go!  My list of who I think are the five hottest women in anime.  Yes, I realize ahead of time that this likely will have some huge omissions for some of you.  But this is my damn list!  And my damn choices, tastes and rules!  If you have a problem with it, then send me a comment and tell me who I missed or who you’d prefer.  Or write your own damn blog post and send me a link.  Because from here, to the end of this blog post, it’s nothing but eye candy!  So shut up, and soak in the sexy!

Senran Kagura ep1: shimapan to the face!

There’s no end to the ways something can be interpreted, sometimes to the point of being unrecognizable.  Whether that be the concept of ninjas, of mahou shoujo, sexual assault or even a bad show.  Senran Kagura lends itself towards being any and all of these things.  Though I’ll also add that fun to the list.  This appears to be a bad, but fun show.  And I think that it makes it interesting enough to watch.

OK, this is a pervy anime through and through.  An utterly ridiculous, bouncy, pervy anime full of cute girls doing stuff that makes them spread their legs and jiggle.  Now I’m not gonna be a complete hypocrite and say I’m appalled by this in any sense.  I did used to have a recurring Pervy Images of the Week blog post thingy that I did for awhile (and thanks to this show it may be coming back).  I just want to make it absolutely clear to anyone considering watching this show.  Read my words, and take a good look at the pics I use in this post.  If you don’t like seeing lady parts, and the unmentionables the “ladies” use to cover them, then you won’t be having a lot of fun watching this.  This is not Naruto!

Don KangolJones’ Images of the Week: August 8th (Much love for Muv-Luv)

I enjoy a good mecha production as much as the next Gundam loving, Eva worshipping, Gurren-Lagann inspired guy. So when someone like me gets to enjoy 4 currently airing mecha or mecha inspired series, as well as some good old school Macross, I will say that I’m greatly aware and a time like this awed at the diversity and quantity that is at my disposal. And yet I still have the nerve to pick up a mahou shoujo and read pervy manga. I guess I’ll never be truly satisfied.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: August 1st (It’s all about 7’s & bathhouses.)

Hello everybody! I’ve taken time out of watching women’s gymnastics (don’t ask), women’s volleyball (don’t ask), women’s swimming (don’t ask), and men’s basketball and the Olympics in general to bring back my “images of the week” posts. Since I came back from my hiatus, I’ve had trouble figuring things out. The straight forward part was catching up and finishing shows I was engaged with before I disappeared. I’m generally caught up with Fairy Tail and Gundam AGE. I’ve finished Symphogear (damn fun). And the showmen manga scene doesn’t move very briskly, so I’ve had no trouble keeping up there.

The real trouble comes with the new stuff, and the blog itself. Before I disappeared I had a plan, but right now it’s not so clear. I’ve made my attempts at episodic blogging. And while I enjoyed talking about certain shows up until a point, it’s very hard for me to push out thoughts that aren’t more than moldy unique from what I’ve said the week before on a series (Mouretsu Space Pirates, I blame you). And I. Definitely not the type to push out an editorial post twice a week. So for now, please bear with me as I figure things out. Right now, these special “images of the week” posts are the most comfortable and unique things I can push out. “Viva la Pervy Images of the Week!”

I can’t believe we’re well into May.  This has not been a quiet year, nor a quiet week.  But I’m not gonna get into politics or who killed who.  I just want a peaceful life where I can watch some good anime, drink well and enjoy my time with friends and family.
