Check-in Station: 500 posts Special

December 9, 2013 4 comments

Hey guys! As of the episode 10 post of Golden Time, I’ve hit an amazing 500 posts for my three (almost four) years of doing this for my own blog. I want to say thanks to any and everyone who has commented, viewed, reblogged or even retweeted my material. I’ve been doing this for as long as I have purely out of love, and a need to keep my mind active. And I’m honestly amazed that my modest blog has survived this long.

When I started, I had one goal. I wanted Read more…

So here we go!  My list of who I think are the five hottest women in anime.  Yes, I realize ahead of time that this likely will have some huge omissions for some of you.  But this is my damn list!  And my damn choices, tastes and rules!  If you have a problem with it, then send me a comment and tell me who I missed or who you’d prefer.  Or write your own damn blog post and send me a link.  Because from here, to the end of this blog post, it’s nothing but eye candy!  So shut up, and soak in the sexy!

Check-in Station: DKJ’s annual Harem Hall-of-Fame Induction 2013

I made a post several years ago that I very regrettably never followed up. I think most guys (and some women) have their list of favorite hotties. Their mental list of of people they find most attractive. And it never perfectly corresponds to anyone else’s list. In a funny way, I believe it’s one of the more personal things you can express, when you take that list and put it to paper with pen. Or in the case of a blogger, take your idea from keystrokes to ones and zeros on your screen. I did so in that previous post, and I’m going to do it again this time. This is the list of my nominees for my Harem Hall-of-Fame. Read more…

So concludes another season of leachery and monsters, or is it monsters and leachery?  Or is it the leacherous monstrosity of a harem of horny monsters?  No, I guess all of that is a disservice to the season and the show.  It’s advanced anime for the veterans and the pervs.

I was wondering when the second half of the season (this very, very short season) would get down to business.  It did so in episode ten with Read more…

I suppose everyone who has made resolutions for 2012 are well into enacting/ suffering through their choices. One of mine is to more consistently tend to my blog, which was woefully neglected for too much of 2011. And the Winter 2012 season is making this task quite easy. Not only am I finding interesting new series to delve into, but what I already have on my plate is good to outstanding. And despite the fact that much of my Shounen JUMP material is on vacation, I had no trouble finding interesting manga to read either. It’s a good start, to what is so far a good year. Let’s get started! Read more…

Check-out Station: Bakemonogatari (It was never really a harem. He’s just an awesome guy.)

Everyone has problems.  Everyone has stress.  Everyone has a weight they have to carry with them wherever they go, whatever they do.  It reminds me very much of a scene from the movie Up in the Air where the lead character gives a seminar on life and his philosophy towards it.  Basically, it boils down to freeing your mind and traveling light.  It’s not that easy for most of us though.  If it was, the world would be a happier place.  Now imagine all that weight, all that stress, all those problems and attach an apparition to them.  Something that feeds on what ails you.  Do that and you generally get an idea of the problems addressed in Bakemonogatari.
