DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: March 23rd (Because after Dark Souls I need something to make me feel better.)

Off my ass again to do another images of the week post.  My excuse for the delay this time?  Mass Effect 3 and getting my curb stomped by Dark Souls over and over… and over …and over again.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m making progress, but you can’t play that game without suffering, despair… and a healthy dose of spontaneously cursing because you screwed up, or the game screw you.  So when all is lost, I completely shut down the PS3 & boot up the anime.  Games nowadays have a way of telling you you’ve been playing for too long.  They tell you you need to stop and get out of the house.  You don’t need that with Dark Souls.  Granted you haven’t spiked your controller, you’ll walk away on your own, eventually.  But enough about that.  Anime and  manga, that’s all I’m concerned about right now.  Here are my usual, but hardly consistently weekly anymore, images of the week!

Check-in Station: Pervy Manga Review Pt. 2 (Bigger, Harder, Wetter, More Gay)

I took a week off to finish some other blog posts, marathon some Mass Effect 2 since the PSN is mostly up, and watch the Heat give the Bulls a beating (feels weird to root against the Bulls).  But I’m back with two weeks worth of anime, manga and pervy images.  Hope you enjoyed the image of the week up top.  I certainly am not gonna forget it for awhile.  Let’s get to it.

Happy Easter!  And so ends and begins another week of anime.  I put in work last week.  And while I didn’t get around to much in the way of manga, I have good news….  The Pervy Images of the Week are back!  I know, I know.  High fives all around.  This blog is still a No Fap Zone so don’t get too excited.  Now let’s begin.  I’m on an old school gaming binge as of late and I got some more Mega Man to play.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: March 27th (My blog’s not dead, it’s napping!)

I’ve fielded quite a few questions on and off Twitter as to whether the status of my blog would be best conveyed through an obituary.  Rest assured good readers that it is no more than a strange combination of bad timing, fatigue and work.  And to prove it I’m coming back strong with more anime, manga & perviness than ever.  But before I start I’d like to give my heartfelt condolences out to the people and Japan who are still enduring after the horrible disasters of earthquake, tsunami and a possible nuclear meltdown.  I suggest anyone reading this find your nearest, reputable charity and put some effort into helping those people.  I used Red Cross, you can use whatever you like.  Every bit helps.

It feels a little awkward mentioning such a serious subject on my goofy little blog, but even a curmudgeon like me doesn’t mind helping this cause.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: February 14th (Boobs don’t work that way!)

 

I’m back, and even though I had to take off the previous week for various reasons (corrupted flashdrive again, I swear I’ve learned my lesson this time) and I’m a day late on this post, that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy on the anime or manga front. So while you’ve been compiling a list of your favorite romantic moments on your blog, or setting up a romantic candle-lit dinner for your dakimakura, I’ve been hard at work. Let’s get to it. And hopefully after this you can all leave the house/apartment/basement/stuffy dorm and meet someone in the real world.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: January 30th (Giant Mermaid Win-ness)

 

It’s almost February and I think I’m getting a bit of cabin fever and the winter “BLAHS”.  Couple that with me still being in Madoka Magica mourning, and you’ll see why I’m a bit less than peppy (insert barrel roll joke).  Don’t get me wrong, the anime and manga coming out week to week is excellent.  I just need a splash of sunlight and a good vacation.  Regardless, my mood didn’t affect my enjoyment of the excellent manga and anime I watched this week.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: January 16th (I apologize.)

It’s a bit of a hodge-podge, but I’ve pieced together my images of the week, my first of the year.  And something has quickly made itself clear to me.  Even though I decided to mostly forgo the Winter 2011 season, at least in the beginning it has shown me that it’s not as easy to ignore or cut and dry as I expected.  Looks like I’m gonna have a harder time juggling my anime than I thought.

Check-in Station Ecchi Special pt2: Yosuga no Sora eps 1-7 (Harems can be a painful, time-traveling bitch.)

In part 1 of my Ecchi special, I talked about the very pretty but bland and meandering Samurai Girls.  In this installment, I’m going to briefly cover the much more risque, aggressive and eclectic Yosuga no Sora.  If Samurai Girls plays the ecchi elements safe, then Yosuga no Sora takes those elements with it, gets naked with it, and then they both go bungie jumping off a bridge.  And all the time the show gives you the vibe that it wants to be romantic and taken seriously.  I have to say, if Yosuga no Sora was a woman, she’d be a crazy one.

DonKangolJones’ Images of the Week: December 5th (Big and Black; Long and Hard)

And by that title I mean it has been a long and hard week of watching anime.  Lots of crying (from the characters in shows, not me), and panting, and beating, and farewells.  Everything I watched and read seemed to be really intense and trying its best, with very few failures.  The only real failure of mine was not watching OreImo.   I just couldn’t do it.  As much as I enjoy the supporting (and in this case I mean that quite literally) characters, Kirino sucks most any enthusiasm I have for the show right out of me.  I just can’t seem to bring myself to sit down and deal with her.  With that out of the way, time to move to the week in Japanese illustrated NERD.
